I contemplate the human condition so vividly portrayed in the plight of the albatross.
To no other has nature bestowed the symbol of freedom as she has upon the albatross.
Many a seafarer has marveled over her effortless flight.
Yet, it is this very symbol of freedom that we seem intent on exterminating.
What lies between freedom and death for the albatross is human greed and laziness…profoundly true of us all!
